Julie T. Wright

Julie T. Wright is a teacher, instructional coach, and educational consultant with more than 25 years of experience in rural, suburban, and urban education settings. She holds National Board Certification and earned a Bachelor of Science in education, a Master of Arts in language arts and reading, a K–12 reading endorsement, and a pre-K through grade 9 principal license from The Ohio State University.

Wright is the co-author, with Barry Hoonan, of What Are You Grouping For?, Grades 3–8: How to Guide Small Groups Based on Readers—Not the Book (Corwin, 2018/2019). She is also the author of What’s Our Response? Systems and Structures to Support ALL Learners (FIRST Educational Resources, 2021) and Side-by-Side Instructional Coaching: 10 Asset-Based Habits that Spark Collaboration, Risk-Taking, and Growth. In addition to her books, she writes for professional literacy organizations, presents for schools and districts, and consults on building asset-based systems to support teaching and learning.
