Julitha Rials

Dr. Julitha Rials is an educator based in Lawrence, Kansas, and the author of Building Family–School Partnerships in Secondary Math: A Guide for Teachers Grades 6–12. Before entering education, she spent over 15 years in management roles in corporate settings after earning a Bachelor of General Studies in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Baker University. She later completed a Master of Special Education at Baker University and subsequently earned a Doctor of Education in School Leadership/Educational Leadership from Baker University, where her doctoral work examined race-based disproportionality in school discipline referrals.

Rials has worked for more than two decades in education, with a strong focus on mathematics and supporting students with special needs. She teaches in Lawrence Public Schools and was recognized as the Lawrence Public Schools Secondary Kansas Teacher of the Year in 2020. In addition to her school-based work, she serves as Finance Director for the LRM Foundation (Life Restoration Ministries), helping lead community-support initiatives and collaborating on hands-on STEM programming for students in Douglas County, Kansas.
