Kaitlyn Cavalancia

Kaitlyn Cavalancia is a young adult author whose debut novel, Mystery Royale, was published by Disney-Hyperion on January 7, 2025. The book, a genre-blending YA mystery with magical elements, has been selected as a Winter/Spring 2025 Indies Introduce title and a January/February 2025 Kids’ Next List pick. It is the first in the Mystery Royale series, followed by the sequel Hunting the Strange, slated for release in 2026.

Cavalancia grew up reading mystery and fantasy novels and is an orthodontist by profession, writing stories “brimming with murder and magic” outside her day job. She lives in western Pennsylvania with her husband, son, and dog.
