Karen Gartland is a mathematics coordinator and classroom teacher at Groton-Dunstable Middle School and an adjunct faculty member at Lesley University. Her work focuses on conceptual understanding of mathematics, critical thinking, application, and the effective use of technology in the classroom.
She is a coauthor of Well Played: Building Mathematical Thinking Through Number Games and Puzzles for grades K–2, 3–5, and 6–8, and Math for All: Differentiating Instruction, Grades 6–8. She has also been identified in recent education-related writing as a coauthor of the Well Played series.
