Kate MacLeod

Dr. Kate MacLeod is an inclusive educator, researcher, and author who began her career as a high school special education teacher in New York City. She is faculty in the College of Education at the University of Maine Farmington and also works as an education consultant with Inclusive Schooling.

Her published books include From Behaving to Belonging: The Inclusive Art of Supporting Students Who Challenge Us and The Way to Inclusion: How Leaders Create Schools Where Every Student Belongs. Sources describe her work as focused on inclusive practices, social justice, and supporting educators and school leaders to create school communities where all students belong.
