Kathleen Fay

Kathleen Fay is a literacy educator and author who serves as the Literacy Collaborative District Trainer for Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. She has previously worked as a Reading Recovery teacher and Title I literacy coach and is a National Board–certified teacher.

Fay is coauthor of Powerful Book Introductions: Leading with Meaning for Deeper Thinking, which focuses on planning and delivering effective guided reading book introductions for young readers. She also coauthored Becoming One Community: Reading and Writing with English Language Learners, a classroom-focused book on supporting English learners’ literacy development.
