Kathleen Roberts

Kate Roberts is a national literacy consultant, author, and keynote speaker. She taught reading and writing in Brooklyn, New York, worked as a literacy coach, and joined the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project in 2005, where she served as a lead staff developer for 11 years.

Roberts co-authored Falling in Love with Close Reading: Lessons for Analyzing Texts—and Life with Christopher Lehman. She is also the co-author of DIY Literacy with Maggie Beattie Roberts, co-writer of two Units of Study books on literary essay, and author of A Novel Approach: Whole-Class Novels, Student-Centered Teaching, and Choice.
