Kathy Lynn Scott

Kathy Lynn Scott is co-editor and co-author of the education texts What Really Works With Exceptional Learners and What Really Works With Universal Design for Learning, both published by Corwin and focused on evidence-based strategies for inclusive education across K–12 settings. In these works, she collaborates with Wendy W. Murawski to provide practical guidance for general and special educators on topics such as effective instruction for exceptional learners and implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Scott holds a PhD and serves as the Center Administrative Analyst for the Center for Teaching and Learning at California State University, Northridge, where her work is centered on teaching and learning in higher education. Her background includes research in art education and adult education in England, as well as coordination of research on learning disabilities in New Jersey, experiences that inform her contributions to the fields of special education and UDL.
