Kelley Barger

Kelley Barger, EdD, is a professor and director of reading programs at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. Their work focuses on literacy education, with particular attention to the connections between reading and writing and the role of libraries in supporting early literacy learning.

Barger is a coauthor of Guided by Meaning in Primary Literacy: Libraries, Reading, Writing, and Learning, published in 2016, which offers a research-based approach to fostering early literacy through coordinated classroom and library practices.
