Kelly Chandler-Olcott
Kelly Chandler-Olcott is the Dean of Syracuse University’s School of Education and the Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence. She previously served as Interim Dean, Associate Dean for Research, and Chair of Reading and Language Arts at Syracuse University, and she began her career as a high school English and social studies teacher in Maine.
Her scholarship focuses on classroom inquiry by teachers, literacy across the curriculum, and preparing educators to teach writing in diverse, inclusive classrooms. She has published books and more than 120 scholarly chapters, articles, and editorials, and is a coauthor of You’re Going to Love This Kid!: Teaching Autistic Students in the Inclusive Classroom.
