Kenneth C. Williams

Kenneth C. Williams is an educator, school leader, and consultant specializing in professional learning communities (PLCs) and school culture. He is coauthor of Starting a Movement: Building Culture From the Inside Out in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) – steps to an effective school leadership team, which presents a four-stage “authentic alignment” model to help K–12 educators align their actions with their school’s mission and sustain effective PLC practices. He has also coauthored Creating Physical and Emotional Safety in Schools and contributed to Beyond Conversations About Race, further extending his focus on school culture and equity.

Williams is the founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Unfold the Soul, through which he works nationally as a trainer, speaker, coach, and consultant in leadership and school culture. A practitioner for nearly three decades, he previously served as principal of The Learning Academy at E.J. Swint in Jonesboro, Georgia, and Damascus Elementary School in Damascus, Maryland, where he led improvement efforts using the PLC at Work process. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College and a Master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport, and he is recognized for helping schools build the collective commitments required to achieve “learning for all” cultures.
