Kevin Gant

Kevin Gant is an experienced secondary science educator and physics teacher who co-authored Answers to Your Biggest Questions About Teaching Secondary Science: Five to Thrive alongside Karen Mesmer, Enya Granados, Laura Shafer, and Ayanna D. Perry. His work on this book focuses on practical, classroom-tested strategies to help teachers build positive science communities, engage students in scientific thinking and discourse, and use formative assessment to understand and advance student learning.

Gant has worked in education and education management for multiple decades, holding roles such as physics teacher, math and science teacher, teacher coach, senior school development coach, New Tech teams designer, and Director of Network Innovation at New Tech Network. In his project-based learning work, he has been cited as an exemplar of engaging students in inquiry-driven physics projects that connect to their interests and real-world questions.
