Author
Kim Nao
Kim Nao is a coauthor of Stuck in the Shallow End: Education, Race, and Computing, originally published by MIT Press in 2008 and released in an updated edition in 2017. The book examines racial and socioeconomic inequalities in access to computer science education, drawing on research conducted in three Los Angeles public high schools.
Publicly available sources identify Nao as part of the UCLA-based research team that investigated which students were—and were not—learning computer science in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Stuck in the Shallow End is the only published book attributed to Nao in the available sources.
