Kimberly Campbell
Kimberly Hill Campbell is an educator and writer specializing in secondary language arts and teacher education. She has taught middle school language arts, practiced law after earning a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law, and later returned to education, completing an M.A.T. in secondary language arts and administration at Lewis & Clark College, where she has served as an associate and endowed professor of teacher education and department chair.
Campbell is the coauthor of Beyond the Five-Paragraph Essay, a professional resource for teachers that critiques the traditional five-paragraph essay format and offers research-based alternatives for fostering more authentic, thoughtful student writing. She is also the author of Less Is More: Teaching Literature with Short Texts, Grades 6–12, which focuses on using short texts to teach literature in secondary classrooms.
