Kimberly Morrow-Leong
Kimberly Morrow-Leong, PhD, is a mathematics education specialist and adjunct instructor at George Mason University. She is an author of the Mathematize It! series of problem-solving books for K–8 teachers, including Mathematize It! [Grades K–2]: Going Beyond Key Words to Make Sense of Word Problems. Her career includes work as a grade 5–9 classroom teacher, middle school mathematics teacher, K–8 mathematics coach, and education researcher, as well as coordinator of elementary professional development at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Morrow-Leong has served as a consultant for Math Solutions, program chair for the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics’ 50th annual conference, and a member of professional committees such as the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators’ Advocacy Committee and the MathKind Education Advisory Board. She is a 2009 recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and has also worked as a senior content manager at the Math Learning Center.
