Kimberly Zgonc
Kimberly Zgonc is a coauthor of Interventions for All: Phonological Awareness, K–2: Assessment Tools and Strategies, a practical resource on assessing and teaching phonological awareness skills for early elementary students, written with Yvette Zgonc. The book builds on the Phonological Awareness Skills Test (PAST), originally developed by Yvette Zgonc, and provides classroom-ready activities and assessment tools aligned with a multilevel Response to Intervention (RTI) framework for grades K–2.
Through this work, Zgonc contributes to evidence-based practice in early literacy, focusing on systematic assessment and explicit instruction in core phonological awareness skills such as rhyme, syllable awareness, phoneme segmentation, blending, deletion, and substitution.
