Krishna Kaur Khalsa is an American Kundalini Yoga teacher and coauthor of Cultivating Happiness, Resilience, and Well-Being Through Meditation, Mindfulness, and Movement: A Guide for Educators, written with Christine Mason, Jeffrey Donald, Michele M. Rivers Murphy, and Valerie Brown. She began studying Kundalini Yoga with Yogi Bhajan in 1970 and has taught the art and science of Kundalini Yoga and self-awareness for decades in communities around the world.
Khalsa is certified by the 3HO Foundation and the Kundalini Research Institute as a Kundalini Yoga teacher and trainer at Levels I and II, and serves as regional coordinator for 3HO Africa. She founded the nonprofit Y.O.G.A. for Youth, which trains yoga teachers to work with at-risk youth and develops yoga programs for schools and juvenile facilities, and she opened the first yoga center in South Central Los Angeles in 1971 to bring yoga to underserved populations.
