Kristen Nelson
Kristen Nelson is an elementary school principal for the Capistrano Unified School District in California, where she has also served as a district executive director of state and federal programs. She is a professor at Concordia University Irvine, teaches leadership courses for the Orange County Department of Education, and has helped launch and support Spanish dual-language immersion programs in her district.
She is the author of several education books, including Starting Strong: Surviving and Thriving as a New Teacher, Teaching in the Cyberage: Linking the Internet and Brain Theory, and Developing Students’ Multiple Intelligences. Her book The Successful Paraprofessional: How to Make a Difference Supporting Students and Teachers is listed among her works.
