Kristin Ackerman is a teacher, writer, and presenter who has taught writing for several years and has presented to teachers across the country on reading and writing topics. She is the co-author, with Jennifer McDonough, of Conferring with Young Writers: What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do (2016).
According to publisher information, the book is grounded in their classroom experience and focuses on practical writing-conference routines built around “frequency, focus, and follow-up.” Ackerman has also been identified in literacy coverage as a co-author of A Place for Wonder: Reading and Writing Nonfiction in the Primary Grades with Georgia Heard.
