Kristopher Childs
Dr. Kristopher J. Childs is an educator, consultant, and keynote speaker whose work focuses on mathematics education, equity, and social justice. He is the coauthor of Teaching Mathematics for Social Justice, Grades K–12: A Guide for Moving from Mindset to Action, written with Dr. John W. Staley. In this and related work, he supports teachers in designing mathematical learning environments that advance social justice and ensure all students can succeed.
Childs serves as Chief Academics, Equity and Social Justice Officer at Open Up Resources and is the founder of K Childs Solutions, through which he provides professional learning and leadership development in education. He has also coauthored additional mathematics education publications, including work on middle and high school mathematics lessons that explore, understand, and respond to social injustice, as well as contributing to Catalyzing Change in High School Mathematics.
