Kurt Kinsey

Kurt Kinsey is a mathematics education author and consultant with a BS and MEd in mathematics education. According to Corwin, he has spent much of his career working with teachers, teacher leaders, schools, and school systems to improve students’ mathematics learning, and his background includes secondary mathematics, mathematics intervention at the early and middle levels, and teacher in-service and graduate-level coursework.

He is a founding member of the US Math Recovery Council and has served on its Board of Directors and as a Content Specialist. His published work includes On Track to Numeracy: A Framework and Tools for Guiding Classroom Number Learning, which he coauthored with Lucinda MacCarty, David Ellemor-Collins, and Robert J. Wright. He has also contributed to other Math Recovery materials, including the Add+VantageMR and Strength in Number professional development programs.
