Kyra Davis Lurie

Kyra Davis Lurie is a New York Times bestselling author and screenwriter, born and raised in California and now living in Los Angeles with her husband. Her novels have been published in nine languages across six continents. Writing under the names Kyra Davis and Kyra Davis Lurie, she is the author of The Great Mann, So Much for My Happy Ending, the Sophie Katz mystery series, the Just One Night series, and the Pure Sin series.

Her 2025 novel The Great Mann: A Novel is her first work of historical fiction and a retelling of The Great Gatsby set among Los Angeles’s Black elite in the mid‑1940s. The book has been published in print, ebook, and audiobook formats, with the audiobook narrated by Ian Hackney.
