Larry E. Hess

Larry E. Hess, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist in independent practice in New York City, with more than 20 years of experience assessing toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors at the University of Chicago and earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1994. His clinical training included work at The University of Chicago Medical Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and SUNY–Stony Brook’s University Counseling Center and Child and Adolescent Program.

Hess is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the New York State Association for Neuropsychology, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars on assessment and learning disorders. He is a contributor to the widely used textbook Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills, where he coauthored content on assessment and literacy-related learning issues.
