Laszlo Bock

Laszlo Bock is a Romanian-born Hungarian American business executive and author. He served as Google’s Senior Vice President of People Operations from 2006 to 2016, where he helped develop the company’s data-driven approach to people management. He previously held executive roles at General Electric, worked at McKinsey & Company, and held positions in startups and nonprofit organizations.

Bock earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Pomona College and an MBA from Yale School of Management. He is the author of Work Rules!: Insights from Inside Google That Will Transform How You Live and Lead and co-author, with Dolly Chugh, of The Person You Mean to Be: How Good People Fight Bias.
