Laura Petix

Laura Petix, MS OTR/L, is a pediatric occupational therapist, parent educator, and founder of The OT Butterfly. She holds a master’s degree in occupational therapy from San José State University and a bachelor’s degree in neurobiology and behavior from the University of California, San Diego. Her work focuses on sensory processing, nervous-system regulation, and their effects on children’s learning and behavior.

Petix is the author of The Sensory Code, a guide to understanding children’s sensory-processing differences, and A Kids Book About Neurodiversity. She also hosts the Sensory WISE Solutions podcast and writes and speaks about neurodiversity, sensory needs, and parenting.
