Laurie Cousseau
Laurie J. Cousseau is an educator with more than 30 years of experience teaching and training in public school districts, independent schools, higher education, and specialized programs for students with dyslexia. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Reading Education, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist, an IDA Certified Dyslexia Therapist, and an accredited Training Fellow of the Orton-Gillingham Academy at the Certified level. Cousseau has served as adjunct faculty at Bay Path University and has worked with Amherst College, and she is the founder and director of Green River Literacy and Learning Center in the Berkshires, which supports individuals with language-based learning disabilities.
Cousseau is the coauthor of The Ultimate Book of Phonics Word Lists series, published by Scholastic Teaching Resources, which includes Grades K–1, Grades 1–2, and Grades 3–5: Games & Word Lists for Reading, Writing, and Word Study. These books provide phonics word lists, reproducible games, activities, and assessments designed to support Orton-Gillingham–based instruction and word study in elementary classrooms.
