Lee Ann Jung
Lee Ann Jung, PhD, is an American researcher, bestselling author, and educational consultant specializing in inclusive education, Universal Design for Learning, intervention, and mastery-based assessment and grading. She is the founder and CEO of Lead Inclusion and a Professor of Practice/Clinical Professor at San Diego State University, following earlier service as a full professor and director of International School Partnerships at the University of Kentucky. Since 1994, she has worked in special education as a teacher, administrator, researcher, consultant, and professor, and has consulted with schools in more than 30 countries and throughout the United States.
Jung has authored multiple books and numerous peer‑reviewed articles and book chapters on inclusion, assessment and grading, Universal Design for Learning, and multi‑tiered systems of support. Her books include Every Child Deserves a Special Education: Five Mindframes That Ensure All Students Learn, From Goals to Growth: Intervention & Support in Every Classroom, Seen, Heard, and Valued: Universal Design for Learning and Beyond, and Your Students, My Students, Our Students: Rethinking Equitable and Inclusive Classrooms, along with other works on grading and inclusive practices.[7
