Leif Babin
Leif Babin is a former U.S. Navy SEAL officer, leadership consultant, and co-author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win (New Edition), written with fellow former SEAL Jocko Willink. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he served thirteen years in the U.S. Navy, including nine years in the SEAL Teams, where he led combat operations in Iraq as a SEAL platoon commander in SEAL Team Three’s Task Unit Bruiser during the Battle of Ramadi.
Babin is the co-founder and President/Chief Operating Officer of Echelon Front, a leadership consulting firm where he works as a leadership instructor, speaker, executive coach, and strategic advisor to organizations across the civilian sector. He later co-authored The Dichotomy of Leadership: Balancing the Challenges of Extreme Ownership to Lead and Win, further expanding on the leadership principles introduced in Extreme Ownership. He is a highly decorated combat veteran and has also served as a primary leadership instructor for SEAL officers, reshaping SEAL leadership training to better prepare leaders for the demands of combat.
