Leslie A. Blauman
Leslie A. Blauman has taught reading and literacy in Colorado public schools for more than 30 years and has worked as a literacy consultant and staff developer with the Denver-based Public Education and Business Coalition (PEBC). She is a classroom teacher whose work has been described as a model for reading, writing, and critical thinking instruction, and she has presented at literacy conferences and workshops nationally and internationally.
Her published books include Teaching Evidence-Based Writing: Nonfiction: Texts and Lessons for Spot-On Writing About Reading and Teaching Evidence-Based Writing: Fiction: Texts and Lessons for Spot-On Writing About Reading, along with The Inside Guide to the Reading-Writing Classroom, Grades 3–6, Kid-Tested Writing Lessons for Grades 3–6, and Comprehension Going Forward.
