Leslie Bross

Leslie Ann Bross, PhD, BCBA-D, is an associate professor of special education in the Department of Special Education and Child Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she directs the Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis programs. She earned her PhD in special education from the University of Kansas in 2019 with an emphasis on evidence-based practices and autism spectrum disorder, and is a board certified behavior analyst and licensed special education teacher.

Bross is a coauthor of The Educator’s Guide to Autism Spectrum Disorder: Interventions and Treatments, an evidence-based resource that summarizes and rates more than 75 interventions for autistic learners. Her research focuses on supporting adolescents and young adults with autism during the transition to adulthood, particularly in competitive employment, postsecondary education, community integration, and social and self-advocacy skills, and she has authored multiple peer-reviewed studies on technology-based supports, social skills, and planning interventions for this population.
