Letizia Rubegni

Letizia Rubegni is a children’s book illustrator known for her work on Max Brallier’s Mister Shivers early-reader horror series, including Beneath the Bed and Other Scary Stories: An Acorn Book (Mister Shivers #1). Her illustrations, primarily in black-and-white, are noted for blending darkness, grotesque elements, and humor to create spooky yet accessible stories for young readers.

Rubegni studied Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and later gained additional qualifications as a television cartoonist and graphic designer. She lives in Tuscany, Italy, and continues to illustrate children’s books that emphasize storytelling through pictures.
