Lev Grossman is an American novelist and journalist, born on June 26, 1969. He grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, graduated from Harvard in 1991, and attended Yale University’s comparative literature PhD program for three years before leaving to pursue writing and journalism.
He is the author of The Bright Sword: A Novel of King Arthur and the Magicians trilogy—The Magicians, The Magician King, and The Magician’s Land. His other published books include the children’s novels The Silver Arrow and The Golden Swift, and he worked as a book critic and senior writer for Time from 2002 to 2016.
