Lisa Bush
Lisa Bush is an American Canadian writer, educator, and storyteller who focuses on teacher wellness and empowerment. A fourth‑generation educator, she has taught for more than 15 years and has presented locally and internationally on topics including language arts, fine arts, gifted education, diversity, and teacher wellness. She lives and teaches in Calgary, Alberta, with her family.
She is the author of Teaching Well: How Healthy, Empowered Teachers Lead to Thriving, Successful Classrooms, a 2019 book that draws on interviews with teachers in Canada, the United States, and Singapore as well as medical professionals in nursing, psychology, and mental health to explore the relationship between teacher wellness and classroom effectiveness. Bush also writes fiction, including the mystery novel City Hall, and hosts wellness‑focused audio projects such as the Working Mom Wellness Podcast and the Stories Within Us podcast.
