Lisa Daly
Lisa Daly, MA, is a professor of early childhood education and professor emerita at Folsom Lake College in Folsom, California, with over 30–40 years of experience in the early childhood field as a teacher, director, administrator, and educator. She has served on community and Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) boards, including the statewide Child Development Training Consortium advisory board, and is recognized as a child and family advocate, consultant, and presenter. Daly is passionate about creative arts, having directed art programs for thousands of children and led numerous workshops on art, storytelling, language and literacy, sensory experiences, and music and movement.
She is the co-author of the award-winning Loose Parts series, including Loose Parts: Inspiring Play in Young Children, Loose Parts 2: Inspiring Play with Infants and Toddlers, Loose Parts 3: Creating Culturally Sustainable Environments, Loose Parts 4: Fostering Learning in the 21st Century, and Loose Parts in Action. Daly has also co-authored Early Learning Theories Made Visible and Early Learning Standards Made Visible, works that focus on making early learning theories and standards accessible through visual examples and practical applications for educators.
