Lisa Eickholdt

Lisa Eickholdt is a literacy educator, consultant, and author whose work focuses on writing instruction and student collaboration. She has worked in elementary schools as a classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, interventionist, and literacy coach for more than 20 years, and she served as an Assistant Professor of Literacy Education at Georgia Gwinnett College.

Her books include Learning from Classmates: Using Students’ Writing as Mentor Texts and Writing Clubs: Fostering Choice, Collaboration, and Community in the Writing Classroom, coauthored with Patricia Vitale-Reilly. She is also a coauthor, with Lola M. Schaefer, of the children’s book Merry Christmas, Zoo.
