Lisa Koch

Lisa Koch is a literacy educator and coauthor of Beyond Leveled Books: Supporting Early and Transitional Readers in Grades K–5 (2nd edition), written with Franki Sibberson and Karen Szymusiak. The book, published as a professional resource for teachers, examines the limits of over-reliance on leveled texts and offers classroom-based strategies, mini-lessons, and assessment techniques to support transitional readers within student-centered, choice-driven literacy instruction.
