Lisa Mireles
Dr. Lisa Mireles is an educator and project based learning (PBL) leader who serves as senior director of professional learning design and senior advisor to the CEO at PBLWorks. Recognized as an expert in leadership for project based learning and in leveraging digital tools to accelerate deeper learning, she works with schools and systems to design professional learning that supports deeper, more equitable student outcomes. She holds an Ed.D. and has extensive experience as a teacher and leader in diverse educational settings, including roles focused on curriculum, instruction, and school improvement.
Mireles is the co-author of _Project Based Learning for All: A Leader’s Guide_ (ASCD and PBLWorks), which provides frameworks and practical guidance for school and district leaders seeking to implement high-quality, equitable PBL at scale. She has also contributed to the field through her doctoral dissertation, “Schools of the future in Hawai'i: networked learning communities and teaching innovation,” completed in 2012.
