Lois E. Brown Easton

Lois Brown Easton is a consultant, coach, and author with a particular interest in learning designs for adults and students. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Arizona and spent 15 years as a middle school English teacher before serving in roles including English/language arts coordinator and director of curriculum and instruction for the Arizona Department of Education.

Easton retired as director of professional development at Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center and later worked as a senior consultant for Learning Forward. Her books include The Other Side of Curriculum: Lessons for Learners, Engaging the Disengaged: How Schools Can Help Struggling Students Succeed, Protocols for Professional Learning, and Professional Learning Communities by Design: Putting the Learning Back Into PLCs. She also edited and contributed to Powerful Designs for Professional Learning.
