Lucy Montgomery

Lucy Montgomery is a professor at Curtin University, where she serves as Dean of Research in the Faculty of Humanities and leads the Innovation in Knowledge Communication research program at the Centre for Culture and Technology. She holds a PhD in Media and Cultural Studies and researches open knowledge, digital scholarship, scholarly communication, and the role of universities in sharing knowledge.

Montgomery was a founder and co-lead of the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative, a research project examining how universities can become open knowledge institutions. She co-authored Open Knowledge Institutions: Reinventing Universities with Cameron Neylon, John Hartley, Malcolm Gillies, and Eve Gray, published by MIT Press.
