Lynn Susholtz

Lynn Susholtz is a San Diego–based artist, community activist, and educator who integrates public art and arts education to engage local communities. She is the founder of Art Produce, an artist-run gallery, café, garden, classroom, and community space in the North Park neighborhood, and a co-founder/owner of Stone Paper Scissors, an artist collaborative and public art/education studio focusing on community development through the arts. Her work ranges from small drawings examining the social histories of everyday objects to large-scale interactive environments and commissioned public art projects, including contributions to the Vermont Street Bridge public art installation.

As an art educator, Susholtz teaches and develops curriculum for public and private schools, working as an arts education consultant for local school districts, teacher preparation programs, and community and cultural centers. She co-authored the K–5 resource book Object Lessons: Teaching Math Through the Visual Arts with math educator Caren Holtzman, which provides visual arts–based, standards-aligned mathematics investigations using everyday objects and artworks to make math learning accessible and engaging for elementary students.
