Lynne R. Dorfman
Lynne R. Dorfman is a veteran literacy educator and author with more than three decades of classroom experience, including roles as a classroom teacher, K–5 writing and literacy coach, reading specialist, gifted education teacher, and staff developer in Upper Moreland Township School District. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Beaver College, an M.A. in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University, a Reading Specialist Certification from La Salle University, and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University. Dorfman is a co-director of the Pennsylvania Writing and Literature Project, teaches graduate-level courses in reading and writing—particularly for struggling adolescents—and serves as an adjunct professor at Arcadia University while working as an independent literacy consultant and frequent conference presenter.
As an author, Dorfman is known for her influential work on writing instruction and mentor texts.
