Magdalena Mora

Magdalena Mora is an award-winning illustrator and graphic designer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up between Chicago, Texas, and Mexico and graduated from Macalester College with a degree in English Literature; she has worked professionally as an illustrator since 2019.

Her picture-book work includes Equality’s Call: The Story of Voting Rights in America by Deborah Diesen, I Wish You Knew by Jackie Azúa Kramer, The Fish of Small Wishes by Elana K. Arnold, Barrio Rising by María Dolores Águila, and The Notebook Keeper: A Story of Kindness from the Border by Stephen Briseño, which received a Pura Belpré Honor in 2023.
