Marc Pioch, M.A.Ed., has worked in education for more than 25 years. According to Teacher Created Materials, he has served as a founding teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Da Vinci Connect in El Segundo, California; previously, he was a high school social studies teacher, ELD coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and coach. He also taught social studies methods as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California and currently serves as an Academic Officer for Teacher Created Materials.
Pioch has also worked as an editor and contributing author on Shell Education titles, including Teaching Social Studies Today and Document-Based Assessment Activities, and is credited as a coauthor of Document-Based Assessment Activities, 2nd Edition with Jodene Lynn Smith.
