Marian Small

Marian Small is a Canadian mathematics education scholar, author, and professional speaker who formerly served as Dean of Education at the University of New Brunswick and has also been a professor of mathematics education there. She holds a B.A. from Adelphi University and an M.A. and Ed.D. from the University of British Columbia.

Her published works include _Building Proportional Reasoning Across Grades and Math Strands, K–8_ and _The School Leader’s Guide to Building and Sustaining Math Success_, both listed among her recent books and resources. She has also authored or co-authored many other mathematics education resources, including _Good Questions_, _Uncomplicating Fractions_, _Uncomplicating Algebra_, and _Eyes on Math_.
