Marisol Quevedo Rerucha
Marisol Quevedo Rerucha is a Chicana educator, author, and equity-focused leader based in San Diego, California. She is the author of Beyond the Surface of Restorative Practices: Building a Culture of Equity, Connection, and Healing (Dave Burgess Consulting, 2021), a book that draws on her lived experience and leadership in restorative practices, equity, and healing-centered school culture. A former English teacher, principal, and district leader in TK–12 traditional and charter systems, she has led career readiness and career technical education programs in juvenile court and community schools to help disrupt the school‑to‑prison pipeline.
Rerucha serves as Chief of Partnerships and Strategy for the National Parents Union and has been a partner consultant with The Core Collaborative, as well as CEO of Heartset Consulting Group. She has held roles including charter school board member for a large Colorado high school and co‑chair of the UnidosUS National Institute for Latino School Leaders alumni council, and has served on the board of Youth Empowerments Finest. She holds a B.A. in English/Language Arts Teacher Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration from San Diego State University.
