Marjorie Lisovskis
Marjorie Lisovskis is a children’s author and longtime editor who has written and edited books for children, parents, and teachers for more than thirty years. She has a particular interest in creating books that help young children see themselves as confident, capable, and loved, and has coauthored several social–emotional learning titles with Elizabeth Verdick, including How to Take the Grrrr Out of Anger. Lisovskis lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband and has two grown children and three grandchildren.
Lisovskis is a contributing author and co-creator of Free Spirit Publishing’s Happy Healthy Baby board book series, collaborating with Elizabeth Verdick on titles such as Eat / Comer: A Board Book about Mealtime / Un libro de cartón sobre la hora de la comida and Rest / Descansar: A Board Book about Bedtime / Un libro de cartón sobre la hora de descansar, as well as related titles like Reach, Cuddle, and Move. She is also credited as the author of Citizenship at Work and Play in the Reader’s Theater series, further reflecting her focus on helping young readers build positive skills and self-understanding.
