Mark Church
Mark Church is an educator and consultant best known for his work with Harvard Project Zero’s Making Thinking Visible and Cultures of Thinking initiatives. He draws on his classroom teaching experience and his long-standing collaboration with educators internationally to support the use of thinking routines and other visible-thinking practices to deepen student learning and foster classroom cultures of thinking.
Church is the co-author, with Ron Ritchhart, of Making Thinking Visible: How to Promote Engagement, Understanding, and Independence for All Learners and The Power of Making Thinking Visible: Practices to Engage and Empower All Learners. These books, developed in collaboration with colleagues at Harvard’s Project Zero, elaborate research-based strategies and classroom routines that help teachers make students’ thinking observable, discussable, and more fully integrated into everyday learning.
