Mark Pett

Mark Pett is a writer and illustrator of children’s books and a former creator of syndicated comic strips. He is the coauthor and illustrator of The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes, a picture book written with Gary Rubinstein, and he describes himself as an “authorstrator” who both writes and illustrates his works. Before focusing on books, Pett created the syndicated comic strips Mr. Lowe and Lucky Cow.

Pett has practiced his craft in Philadelphia, Prague, Cambridge, New York City, and the Mississippi Delta, and he currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the Mountain West. His other authored and illustrated books include The Boy and the Airplane, The Girl and the Bicycle, Lizard from the Park, This Is My Book, I’m Not Millie!, and I Eat Poop: A Dung Beetle Story. He has also illustrated Nia and the New Free Library and The Very Last Castle.
