Matthew L. Beyranevand

Matthew L. Beyranevand is a math educator, author, and visiting lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He earned an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from UMass Lowell in 2003 and an Ed.D. in Mathematics Education from the same university in 2010, and he has served as the K–12 Mathematics and Science Coordinator for Chelmsford Public Schools in Massachusetts.

He is the author of Teach Math Like This, Not Like That and the co-author of Adding Parents to the Equation: Understanding Your Child’s Elementary School Math and Partnering With Parents in Elementary School Math: A Guide for Teachers and Leaders. He also created “Math with Matthew,” a public-access television project and website focused on making mathematics more engaging for students.
