Matthew Treadway

Matthew Treadway is an educational consultant and author specializing in co-teaching, inclusive practices, and collaborative school cultures. He works as an educational leader and consultant with Solution Tree, where he supports schools in implementing Professional Learning Communities at Work (PLC @ Work), Response to Intervention at Work (RTI @ Work), and systems that promote high levels of learning for all students. His background includes experience as an assistant principal and special education teacher, roles in which he has focused on fostering effective collaboration between general and special educators to ensure meaningful instruction for all learners.

Treadway is the author of Partners in Practice: Co-Teaching at Every Stage of Instruction, a practical guide that offers a clear, realistic roadmap for co-teaching as shared planning, instruction, and assessment, and emphasizes moving inclusion from “where” to “how.” In addition to his writing, he co-hosts the podcast Real Talk with Jeanne and Matt: Real People, Real Stories, Real Schools, where he discusses topics such as co-teaching and collaborative instructional practices.
